TOYS: Universal Monsters get new wave of action figures
Diamond Select Toys has announced a new wave of classic monster action figures with the soon to be released Dracula, Frankenstein, and Bride of Frankenstein, all modeled after the famous Universal monsters.
The black and white sculpts are done by Gabriel Marquez, Rudy Garcia, and Jean St. Jean, and each stand 7-inches tall. For those who like their action figures on a display stand, each will come with their own base in the same color motif.
The final Universal Monsters products to hit in 2012 will be from the past, as well — this time the distant 1970s! DST’s 8-inch Retro Cloth Series 3 will bring us the Bride of Frankenstein and the Creature from the Black Lagoon in the style of vintage 1970s toy lines like Remco’s Universal Monsters or Mego’s World’s Greatest Monsters. With real fabric clothing designed by retro experts EMCE Toys, these figures will bring out the kid in you… or at least show you how your parents lived way back when.
Pre-orders are going on now through your local comic shop.
