Dimension Films announced that Frank Miller’s Sin City: A Dame to Kill For has a release date set for 2013.

Based on the Frank Miller mini-series, the Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller directed movie will see Jessica Alba and Mickey Rourke return to the roles they played in the first movie.

The script and details of the film’s story are being kept tightly under wraps. The remaining cast will be announced shortly with some huge names expected to fill the roles of Sin Ciy’s newest characters yet to be seen on the big screen.

This statement from the press release is a bit odd, as all one has to do is open the trade paperback to find out what is going to happen – unless Dimension Films is suggesting the title and the mini-series are not directly related…

Sin City: A Dame to Kill For begins shooting this summer in Austin, Texas, and is scheduled to arrive in theaters on October 4, 2013.

Hey, remember when Frank Miller was acting like a huge d-bag over the occupy Wall Street protests?

Yeah, me neither. Can’t wait to see this movie.
