Diamond Select Toys have a couple of Avengers Minimates coming our way in April and May, and we have some early news about the collections.

Hitting stores this spring will be two assortments of figures, one exclusively available at Toys “R” Us stores and on toysrus.com, and another only at comic book shops and specialty stores. Look for them in late April/early May, and be sure to collect them all!

Marvel Minimates – The Avengers Movie (Toys “R” Us/toysrus.com)
– Captain America & Thor
– Iron Man MK7 & Hulk
– Hawkeye & Black Widow (exclusive)
– Loki & Nick Fury (exclusive)

Marvel Minimates Wave 45 (Specialty stores/comic shops)
– Captain America & Thor
– Iron Man MK7 & Hulk
– REDACTED & REDACTED (exclusive)
– Maria Hill & REDACTED (short-packed exclusive)

We can’t show you the mysterious Avengers foes who will be in Wave 45, or even tell you their names, but be sure to pre-order them through your local comic shop, because once you see the movie, you won’t want to miss out on them!

I’m guessing those redacted figures reveal the big bads the team will face.

Fury and Hawkeye look really good!

Hulk looks good with the new arm and leg add-ons, though I wish Art Asylum could get a slight alteration in their contract with Marvel to allow them to use 2.5 inch figures for guys like The Hulk. Using 2.5s every so often worked really well with the DC figures.
