DC Comics has announced that Jeff Lemire will become the writer of the Justice League Dark series beginning with issue nine.

“This is my dream gig at DC Comics, no doubt about it. The characters in Justice League Dark are my absolute favorite in the DC Comics stable, and I can’t believe I’m actually getting a chance to write John Constantine, Zatanna and Deadman (as well as a few new team members!).

Lemire says he some new ideas that he wants to explore, including why the name Justice League is in the title.  Reader will also see Constantine become the leader, and two new members will join the team.

I like Peter Milligan. Sure, it’s going a little slow, but it’s all about the build and atmosphere.

Lemire didn’t even mention my favorite of the group… Rac Shade…
