Love that the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are back in comics thanks to the IDW Publishing ongoing series. Those who were young’uns when the series first debuted, are now the writers, artists, and creatives in the industry today. I don’t know how Andrew Maclean is, but I do like his take on Raphael.

RAPHAEL – Ink & Watercolor, 12×12 (some cropping). I was a little stumped on this week’s BNN theme, RED. Like with all things I have troubles with, I consulted my wife. She said, ” Well the first thing that comes to mind is too obvious, and that’s Raphael.” Stop right there, that’s perfect.

The Turtles’ anatomy is also something that usually stumps me, such that every time I attempt it I do it differently. Anyway, enjoy! -Andrew

P.S. I beefed up the red in Photoshop. The paint I use comes out a little pink. Normally I kind of like it, but given the theme is RED, I thought it would inspire some criticism.
