There’s movement on the Bone animated movie based on Jeff Smith’s comic book series.  There’s a director.

P. J. Hogan, who wrote and directed Muriel’s Wedding, has been hired to direct the adaption, based on Smith’s draft.  The movie will be produced and developed at Australia’s Animal Logic. Animal Logic is the company behind Happy Feat 2 and Legends of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole.

Smith stated a while back, that he had seen an opening sequence for the film that was very well done, and while there is no release date, I’m sure fans around the world can’t wait to see the movie when it finally arrives.
