Matthew might want to reserve judgement until the issue comes out, but I would LOVE to hear his preliminary thoughts on this one!! Since DC got the top story in this week’s podcast, maybe AvX will get some “love” (heh heh) on the weekend show.
Just to clarify, by love (heh heh) I don’t mean some stupid double entendre. I mean that I doubt MP is gonna be kind about the whole AvX thing. But mileage varies… right??
Is everyone gonna get Phonixised like the Captain Universe Craze? And why ARE the Avengers going after the X-men (at least Cyclops’ side)? Doesn’t the Phoenix Force like to settle in telepaths who have a romantic connection with Scott?
Just a follow up but I can NOT wait for Squirrel Girl to become Squirrel Phoenix!
I think it’d be “Phoenix Squirrel”, maybe? ^_^
Phoenix Tippy-Toe!
In any case the form of the fiery bird shall be replaced by that of a fiery squirrel.
Having been a LOYAL Marvel fan for over 30 years and despising DC, I have to say that ever since the mediocre Secret Invasion I have not enjoyed one marvel book. All the marvel books have seem tired, rehashing old ideas and introducing offspring to every established character (hulk, wolverine etc) thus ruining the characters uniqueness or making once powerful characters D rate (Could Iron Fist have got anywhere NEAR the phoenix in the original Dark Phoenix saga??). Killing off different characters onlt to reintroduce them 6 months later. Even the once s**t hot Brian Bendis and Ed Brubaker seem to have lost their way. Maybe its because Marvel are concentrating more on the movies that dominate cinema and neglecting their comics…I dont know! Over the past 3 years I’ve started to read DC comics and it took a lot, trying to take in 80 years continuity and discover which were the ‘big’ events. I was initiallty against the new 52 reboot but this is exactly what Marvel needs to do now. One big reboot, sorry Marvel but after 30 years, for the time being at least…make mine DC!!
