When i was a younger lad, the first movie I got to go see by myself – the kind where your dad drops you off at the theater and says, “call me when the movies over, and I’ll come pick you up), was Disney’s Condorman.
Cartoonist Woody becomes the superhero he draws. Using his gadgets he helps a Soviet spy defect to the West.
It’s too bad, Disney went the comedy route with this one, because it could have been a successful franchise… at least until the Cold War ended. Anyway, today’s Art Appreciation Moment of the Day comes from Ramon k Perez who remembers the movie from his childhood, too.
i saw the movie probably 20 years later. it didn’t hold a torch to my imagination… a little goofier than i had dream up, but fun. so in my eye, condorman’s kinda cool, or at the very least – he’s got potential. i’m a firm believer than any character no matter how lame can be made awesome, and be used to tell an exciting story.

A shame they made it a comedy? Are you KIDDING?
Had they not made it a comedy, the Batman fans would have eviscerated them. It’s still not a terrible movie (certainly better than Episodes I-III.)
I definitely loved this movie as a child.I only have fond memories of the CondorMan film.
They should remake it great concept could be a great TV series liked the original fun
