As the year draws to a close, we are interested in hearing from you, our Dear Readers and Listeners on what you thought were the best moments for Major Spoilers in 2011.
Warning: Pregnant women, the elderly, and children under 10 should avoid prolonged exposure to the Robot Overlord. Robot Overlord may suddenly accelerate to dangerous speeds. The Robot Overlord contains a liquid core, which if exposed due to rupture, should not be touched, inhaled, or looked at. If Robot Overlord begins to smoke, get away immediately. Seek shelter and cover head. Do not taunt the Robot Overlord.
I’m new to the site and podcast. I heard about it on TMS and I gotta say, the podcast is very informative. You guys definitely keep up with the latest news IMO better than a lot others. Keep up the great work.
I liked the explanation, by the ever clever Mathew, of why the Marvel universe never ages.
Also the chance I got to be a part of the GM’s workshop. Further my chance to become another version of Rodrigo even if FAKERIGO gets more screen time.
One of my favorite is also my first moment of Major Spoilers, MSP #297 Ultimate Spider-Pod Cast. Great introduction to the knowledge and fervor of Matthew, it is also the only podcast, excluding live shows, that went over 2 hours long in 2011.
Your comic book reviews are excellent. I can get movie previews and gossip elsewhere. And other sites have comic previews too. But the reviews here are what make me come back for more.
– Matthew’s Franklin Theory of the Marvel Universe: I’d heard his “hints” over several podcasts but it was really awesome when he put his thoughts and ideas together into one posting. A fascinating “theory” made seemingly plausible by its comprehensiveness and cleverness.
– Dr Coogan’s Watchmen podcast: kudos to Dr Coogan for allowing me to see this work of art in a completely different light even after I’ve read it dozens of times.
– Rodrigo’s Critical Hit “it was only a dream” x 2!! podcasts: the definitive “wow” moment for me, but twice.
– Stephen’s recommendations: Atomic Robo and Locke & Key. Wouldn’t know about them if it weren’t for Schleicher’s enthusiasm for the series.
My favorite Major Spoiler moment of 2011 was when Matthew and Steven stopped interrupting and talking over the top of one another. Oh wait, that never happened. My bad!

I’ve enjoyed the coverage of the New 52 as well as your excellent podcast. I’ve also enjoyed the expansion of the podcast family to include Top 5.
Only comment would be, add more board game stuff!

I would say your reviews of Maus, Swamp Thing Saga (by Alan Moore), and of course the traditional Starman review.

The making of the new podcast Top 5 is one of the most favorite moments in 2011.

The reviews of the New 52 were outstanding. The Retro-reviews are great, especially when you find hidden gems.
Thanks guys.
I loved the call in show..I would love to see more of those..perhaps with some call in questions or something.
I truly enjoyed the photo contest. I only wish I had noticed it a bit earlier, but you win some, you lose some.
In no particular order:

Here’s hoping for an even more awesome 2012!!

Cynicism is never pretty, y’know that?
