When Bruce Banner and The Hulk split this October in the Incredible Hulk #1, it’s going to take the talents of Marc Silvestri and Jason Aaron to tell this huge story.
Marvel released a trailer for the issue, that you can see after the jump.
Marvel Architect Jason Aaron joins forces with legendary artist Marc Silvestri to redefine the Hulk in an all new ongoing series. After the events of Fear Itself, the Hulk has gone into hiding, seemingly safe from a world that hates and fears him. But when government agents come knocking at his door, the Hulk has no choice but to return to war against the one man whose existence threatens the safety of every living creature on the Earth. The one man who’s existence could doom the Hulk himself. And that man is Bruce Banner. Now separated into two men, the Hulk and Banner exist worlds apart but one climactic battle will bring them face to face again—and leave the Marvel Universe shaking in its wake. Wait a minute. Haven’t we already seen this before in the John Byrne run on the Hulk?
I guess I missed something. When did Jason Aaron become a “Marvel Architect”? And what does that mean?
I think an “Architect” is Marvel’s term for a writer of a major storyline. They applied it to guys like Bendis and Fraction.
Yeah….let’s give the Hulk a #1 issue for the 100th time and let’s do a storyline that’s been done a 1oo times. Although I’m sure Jason Aaron will do his best…
So it’s “Schism” for the Hulkverse?
Aw. They broke up again?
They tried so hard. They’ve been to counselling, even. But i guess the Hulk’s anger issues make him just too abusive to build a solid foundation upon.
It’s sad :(
Honestly I think its been so long since Bruce and The Hulk were seperated that its completely OK to run the story one more time. Do we know how long Mark will be drawing this title?
1. It’s almost a reverse-spin on what happened before, though – this time, Banner’s the threat. That’s kind of interesting.
2. It’s building off of fear itself, and I am assuming that’s how they beat him there? If so, that’s exactly the kind of stories I like – where they build off of what happened recently…
