Press Release
The CW Network will launch the 2011-2012 season on Tuesday, September 13, with its boldest schedule yet, including four new series and returning favorites on new nights.
On Tuesday, September 13, the graduates from 90210’s West Beverly High move over to Tuesday nights (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET). Following is one of the most buzzed-about shows of the new season, RINGER (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET), starring Sarah Michelle Gellar as a woman on the run who assumes her twin sister’s identity, only to discover that her sister’s life is just as complicated and dangerous as the one she’s trying to escape.
On Wednesday, September 14, The CW’s new reality series H8R, hosted by Mario Lopez, makes its season premiere (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET), bringing celebrities face-to-face with the people who love to hate them, immediately followed by the first-ever All-Star cycle of AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET).
On Thursday, September 15, The CW’s #1 show, THE VAMPIRE DIARIES (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) returns, followed by new drama THE SECRET CIRCLE (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET), also from executive producer Kevin Williamson and based on a series of books by author L.J. Smith. Britt Robertson stars as Cassie, an orphaned teenage girl who discovers the truth about her lineage – she’s a witch who holds the key to an ancient battle between good and evil.
On September 23, The CW unveils its new action-packed Friday, with NIKITA moving to its new night and time (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET), followed by the return of the Winchester brothers on SUPERNATURAL (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET).
The Upper East Side drama returns on Monday, September 26, as GOSSIP GIRL moves back to its former timeslot (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET), followed by new drama HART OF DIXIE (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET). Wow CW is gonna suck @ss! What a lack luster line-up that is. Not that is was all that last season.
I’m only going to be watching Supernatural but I might give Ringer a look. But other then that, CW’s shows looks like its mostly worth skipping.
Ditto.
Everything else is either something I don’t care for (and a couple I despise, bet you can guess which those are) or something that seems like a slightly altered version of something else (like Secret Circle).
I kinda hope they get a surprise mid-season show that actually looks decent, although I know not to really hope for anything until next season.
“The Secret Circle” sounds a lot like “Hex.”
Like, right down to the name of the main character (of Season 1).
It will definitely need some Jemima!
supernatural, vampire diaries and nikita are definites for me. i’ll give ringer a shot just cause of sarah michelle gellar’s buffy cred, secret circle gets two episodes to convince me or bye bye.
