If you don’t like dumping your Minimates in a big plastic tub, and you want to easily transport them around to conventions and events, Art Asylum has announced a Minimates carrying case that houses 72 of the figures.

But that’s not all…

The case also comes with an exclusive glow-in-the-dark Pirate Raiders cartographer Minimate that you can’t find anywhere else.

The case with exclusive figure arrives in stores in September.

Why would people take these things anywhere? Unless kids actually play with these and take them with them, but otherwise, why would you take them to a con or anywhere else. Aren’t they just a slight variant on Lego mini-figs without the whole, you know, Lego building block pieces?

I just don’t undertand the draw of such useless little expensive toys, I’d rather have Mighty Muggs if I’m going for something like this. At least those are bigger and are really different looking.
