Dreamworks Pictures sent over a sneak peek from the upcoming Fright Night remake staring Colin Farrell and Anton Yelchin.
Senior Charlie Brewster (Anton Yelchin) finally has it all—he’s running with the popular crowd and dating the hottest girl in high school. In fact, he’s so cool he’s even dissing his best friend Ed (Christopher Mintz-Plasse). But trouble arrives when an intriguing stranger Jerry (Colin Farrell) moves in next door. He seems like a great guy at first, but there’s something not quite right—and everyone, including Charlie’s mom (Toni Collette), doesn’t notice. After witnessing some very unusual activity, Charlie comes to an unmistakable conclusion: Jerry is a vampire preying on his neighborhood. Unable to convince anyone that he’s telling the truth, Charlie has to find a way to get rid of the monster himself in this Craig Gillespie-helmed revamp of the comedy-horror classic.

The hyping process around this movie baffles me. Where the hell is the angle where the kid meets up with a phony vampire killer and learns about adulthood in the process?! Huh?!
Oh god. It looks like they took all the fun out of this!
Just. Icky. I don’t want to see Colin doing this. It’s not cool. Just slimy. And not “cool” slimy like Jeremy Irons in Reversal of Fortune or something. So it comes off as forced and a little sad. Couldn’t he think of anything else to do with this character?
I wish they would have made this a more honest Twilight rip-off instead of glomming on to my Evil Ed goodwill!
All right now, ranting off… it’s only one scene. I know, I know. But this is looking to be worse than Part II. Way to go for the gold, guys! And did I mention: “Ick.”
Dang. I was hoping for a clip of David Tennant. C’mon Dreamworks release one clip please!!!
You and me both! I really want to know what his take on Vincent is. Will he be insecure, scared and funny like the original or different? I hope they release a new clip soon!
