Seriously these are just plain dumb. If these were standard covers I could be fine with it, I wouldn’t like it, but who would buy these? Just Marvel’s attempt to bleed money out of a dwindling fanbase.

BTW, M-4’s don’t work if you submerge in salt water, a G-3, yes, M-4. No. Do your research.

        Yes. Good point.

I will also point out that it’s a comic. I mean, isn’t it kind of petulant to point out that the M-4 won’t work after being submerged in salt water we happily read about people who put on 500lbs of pure muscle, turn green and suddenly talk in the 3rd person or people who are injected with super steroids and go on to become a national treasures.

Yep. good point. But really did it have to be made in response to a comic cover you didn’t like?

And honestly, isn’t it better that these are variants so that if you don’t want the “dumb” cover you aren’t stuck with it?

(yes, I am the same guy who whined that Red Robin’s costume isn’t being used consistently… yep. I am that guy.)

I think these covers are great. Sure it’s a promotional tool for the upcoming movie, but that fact certainly doesn’t disqualify these covers as great artwork and a great theme. I mean, doesn’t this go to the core of the escapism that many comics readers enjoy when they pick up their favourite books?

I hope they do even more of these throughout July.

I really love the Hulks cover. The little kids’ outfits are pretty awesome shout outs to the Avengers.
