  1. FYI: For the costume contest there were 3 groups, children, middle, and adults.
Each group was narrowed down to 3 entrants and whoever got the loudest response was declared the winner.
Batman family from the third pic had finalists in all 3 groups.
The Star Wars character won both of the younger groups from pics P3267829 (children finalists) and P3267831 (older children).
Of the adults P3267879, the finalists were Batman, Tuskin Raider (P3267841) and Mr. Freeze. Mr Freeze won.

There was a good turn out and many costumes and a lot of entrants for the first costume contest at the KC Planet ComicCon.

This was the first year of a Cosplay contest, and I believe they are planning one again next year.

  2. Loved the Mr. Freeze one too. I think people should stop dressing up as Boba Fett and Two Face and a few other characters for a little while. I like the costumes, some are great, they just happen to be some of the characters that are most frequently done. That’s why I like seeing the more difficult or more obscure characters getting some play. Hawkgirls wings had to have taken some real time.
