Press Release

Voting in the 2011 Eagle Awards is now open. After compiling nominations from the UK, USA and more than 70 other countries around the world, the top five nominees in each of the Eagles’ 29 categories will now go forward to the public voting round of the Awards. Eagle Award Voting will close at midnight BST on Monday 11 April, with the overall winners being announced on Friday 27 May at the MCM Expo London Comic Con, the biggest and best pop culture event in the UK.

“This year’s response has been absolutely amazing,” said Eagles organiser Cassandra Conroy. “Not only have we reached almost twice as many countries as last year but we have had thousands more nominations than ever before. I can’t wait to see the response to the voting round. I’m expecting it to be huge!”
