We haven’t even seen the first issue of Fear Itself yet, but isn’t stopping Marvel from showing off the second cover to Fear Itself. It’s interesting that the teaser images we saw over the last couple of weeks seem to be revealed on this cover.

Pencils by STUART IMMONEN
Cover by STEVE McNIVEN
With the entire world paralyzed fear, Captain America, Iron Man, Thor and the rest of Earth’s Mightiest heroes must battle an unstoppable tide of terror that will send shockwaves throughout the entire Marvel Universe. From the halls of Avengers Tower to the spires of Asgard, the entire Marvel Universe is about to enter a waking nightmare and no show of force, no attempt to reason, not even unconditional surrender can ever undo the damage done.

Get yer hammers! Get yer hammers here! No deal refused.
Tron powers Go!
Is that some kind of cyber-hulk on the left? Are we going to get good hammers and bad hammers in this?
There might even be an M.C. Hammer if we’re lucky…
Ugg! Well this is $4+ that I can save. I like Fraction, but would much rather see some more Iron Fist, this event is a non option.
Wild guess based on cover : Thor imprisoned through treachery, Mjolnir (that Thor might not be able to wield any longer due to “Fear Itself” (c)) is broken up, spawning multiple lesser hammers. The hammers are then divided up between villains and heroes, giving us Black and White Hammer Corps. At the end, Thor is rescued somehow, reclaims most of the essence of the power of Mjolnir and eliminates Fear Itself (c) (perhaps with the assistance of the White Hammer Corps and some turn-coat Black Hammer Corps members).
Status quo is re-established, save for a few lesser hammers of power still floating around that no one will remember in six months’ time.
Did Disney force them to go Tron on this? I knew this Disney deal was going to ruin my comics.
+5 Warhammers!!! Get your +5 Warhammers!!!
You going with the world of warquest sound?
If you don’t buy it, they’ll stop doing it…
Dumb as a bag of hammers.
Dammit – just snorted coffee all over my keyboard. Nice job, TaZ.
Quick question: isn’t Phobos, the God of fear, a good guy working with Nick Fury?
It seems to be about a Asgardian Fear God that everyone has forgotten because Odin imprisoned him or something…
Okay… since when does Norse mythology have a God of fear!?
The Serpent?
Phobos is dead, he is resting in Elysium with his daddy Ares (I think).
I haven’t read it yet, but I’m wondering if it’ll be Deimos or Deimus, not sure on spelling. Supposed brother to Phobos.
