Marvel announced its has gone Chrome – taking 1,600 comics online and optimized for the Google Chrome web browser.  The comics you buy via the Marvel Comics App on iTunes will give you access to the comics on Chrome, making it easier for fans to read where and when they want.   This is similar to what ComiXology has done with their web digital comic reader, but specific for Marvel.

Chrome is quickly becoming a favorite web browser, and for Marvel to optimize their digital comic reader for the browser says something…

“Marvel Comics on Chrome is the next step of Marvel’s commitment to making high definition digital comics available to users anytime, anywhere,” explained Ira Rubenstein, Executive Vice President, Global Digital Media Group. “We’re sure users of the Google Chrome Web browser will love this digital comics experience.”

Where is the Marvel app for android? I only really read marvel and a few select others. Comixology just doesn’t have what I want.
