Yet another teaser image from Marvel for their next big event. I’m sure the company will spill the beans before too long, and won’t draw it out like another teaser campaign that ran recently.

I reckon that Nightmare (who seemingly died with the whole Chaos War thing at the hand of the Mitsubishi guy), being an everpresent component of the human psyche is back and has weaved his magic mojo on the Marvel U, zapping them all into the “Dream Dimension” where their nightmares are real. I reckon his power is probably enforced and upheld by a cadre of psychoactive badguys like Hypno-Hustler, Angar the Screamer, Psycho-Man, Jamie Braddock, David Haller, et al.
I just get that from the green branding for the event and the gothic style font.
I miss Jamie Braddock. He was such a fun little Dues Ex character.
You mean Mitchell Hundred, right?!
kidding.
yeah but I’m glad those 80s/90s omnipotent characters aren’t as prevalent; mind you I prefer them over the illogically invulnerable characters of today.
At least they had fun with those characters back then, and didn’t feel the need to overdevelop every little nuance of the character’s backstory. I still don’t understand what the fridge happened in the Siege Perilous X-Men storyline but I remember loving trying to work it out as a young teen.
I disagree – instead of a major event, I think these teasers are simply talking about what’s next down the pipeline for a few of the heroes in their respective titles. Dunno about Spidey, but with Utopia, Cyclops basically IS Magneto plus a bit of diplomacy (and not trying to nuke the US at every opportunity).
So much for the heroic age…
This is beautiful. I love it. I love this for Cyclops, it’s SUCH a powerful image. I don’t care about what’s happening in the story… just seeing this image is a beautiful expression of what Cyclops has become.
I love this.
Actually, it’s more of an exaggeration. Yeah, it’s the same destination, but they got there differently. Magneto believed that mutants were/are superior to humans and most of his actions came from that. Cyclops choices came from wanting for mutants to survive and having very little options on doing so.
Does that mean Magneto was right?
Whoa, check out his…. uh, area. I guess we can see why Emma is with Scott.
By the gods do I hate the X-men now.
From the first one, I thought this pertained to the death of Ultimate Spidey. Now I’m not so sure.
The Death of $2.99 Comics!!
That corpse has been cold for awhile at Marvel.
Is that Reed Richards wearing Doom’s armor?
Do you fear… pointless events? ;p
yes i do fear them!!
