If there is one thing I’ve learned in all my years of hanging around die-hard pop culture and comic book fans is they love life sized merchandise, and they also love anything autographed by a number of stars and creators.  If you really want to impress the Star Wars fan in your life, own a bit of memorabilia, and help out a worthy cause, check out eFX Collectibles auction going on right now on eBay.

The signatures from the cast and crew of the original “Star Wars” Trilogy include George Lucas, Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Frank Oz, James Earl Jones, Anthony Daniels, Frank Oz, Kenny Baker, John Williams, Lawrence Kasdan, Peter Mayhew, Jeremy Bulloch, David Prowse and the late Irvin Kershner, director of “The Empire Strikes Back,” to whom the auction is dedicated.

“The helmet traveled more than 25,000 miles – from Southern California to Skywalker Ranch to London and New York and many places in between to be signed, and it’s an amazing sight to behold,” said Bryan Ono, president of eFX Inc., who spearheaded the efforts to collect the autographs.

The auction benefits the Make-a-Wish Foundation, and considering all the names on the helmet, this is going to be a highly sought after item.  And as the auction kicks off (a few moments ago), the bidding is already up to $5,100.00.
