Yamato USA has announced the latest figure in its statue line will be based on the art by Boris Vallejo.  “Discovery” features Uleena and her companions in search of a hidden kingdom.  The 11-inch high statue arrives in March 2011, and sells for $289.99.

    Wow. Great looking statue… but what impressed me is the detail in the representation of the skin, muscles, etc. Good work! I’m going to have to look at the rest of their lineup.

    The statue looks great but… the eyes aren’t as soft as the painting.

    I get that Things change when you get them into 3d (that some 2d shortcuts just don’t cut it) but this seems like a different girl altogether. And she gives off different FEELING than that of the painting. Thus affecting the whole piece.

    Don’t get me wrong. It’s definitely a work of art, the statue. Just a different one. Does that make sense?

      Definitely a different face on her. The statue looks like Michelle Ryan cast (Haaa!) as the character.

    My but that’s a nice sculpt.
