According to Comic Vault, the following commercial for their story was turned down by AMC to air during The Walking Dead.

Welcome to Comic Vault commercial that couldn’t be aired on AMC. This is an epic Zombie battle and we had so much fun making it. Thank you to everyone that make this possible! Keep on the look out for more crazy Comic Vault films ( Low Carb Comedy produced this film, give them some love as well by going to Take care and see you next time.

Now why would the commercial get the boot?  Once might blame all the violence (a good excuse), but I have never seen a 1:42 commercial get approved.  Trim it down and cut some of the violence and I’m sure there would be no problem getting the spot to air. Of course with all the publicity this store and video are getting around the Intardwebz, the spot has probably done the job it set out to do without spending extra for a national cable channel spot…

  1. I gotta agree – awesome concept, especially with the Thor zombie unable to bite the girl with his helmet on – but it’s way too long to air. Plus, I don’t think I’ve seen that many commercials on AMC, period. Maybe they’d have better luck on another channel.

  2. It also just doesn’t seem to fit in with what AMC is selling themselves as, it’s a little juvenile and blue. I think it’s pretty cool, I would have thought that it looked a little out of place though on AMC.

    !@#$ you $3.99!
