Yesterday, November 1, Comic Con International opened up ticket sales for the 2011 San Diego Comic Con. Unfortunately, the organization had to close sales soon after due to either A) too many people flooding the system trying to snag tickets, or B) an IT guy who didn’t know he had to flip the switch at the right time.
WE’RE SORRY ABOUT REGISTRATION
We are really sorry for the problems with registration today. We do not know what the technical issues are, so we have temporarily closed registration.
We will announce on Monday November 8th the new date and time that registration will reopen. This down time will allow us to determine and address the issues.
Only a handful of badges were actually sold today.
Thank you for your patience, and again, we all are truly sorry for this inconvenience.
Please check back on the 8th of November for information on the new registration date.
Membership sales will be online only — there will be no onsite sales of Memberships! Supplies are limited.
Please note: Currently 4-day Memberships with Preview Night are SOLD OUT due to onsite sales at Comic-Con in July. 4-day memberships without Preview Night are available. All 4-day memberships purchased online once registration opens will be WITHOUT Preview Night.
Personally, I blame Rodrigo, who is planning on buying all the tickets and then selling them on the black market for a tidy profit.
