If you have been jumping up and down awaiting the news on when the new Conan movie will arrive in theaters, today is your day. Lionsgate has announced the Jason Momoa film will hit U.S. theaters on August 19, 2011, and feature a PG-13 rating. I guess that means no nekkid women lamenting over Conan’s crushing defeat of his enemies.
Sadly, the film will be done up as a 3-D release… When will they learn?

We can all hope the 3-D fad is over by next year.
The last 2-3 (or 4?) 3-D movie eras lasted only a year or so each (and to the best of my recolection they didn’t feature a $3 surcharge.
Just boycott the 3D films or insist on seeing them in the 2D version.
Strange they dont show his head on the poster.
Sometimes life is so sad. PG-13 Conan? Why do Conan if you are going to do it PG-13? Do another Scorpion King or Princess Bride or something. But not Conan.
Sigh.
