It’s been far too long since we’ve featured Gene Gonzales’ work on the site, and with his rendition of the White Queen, now is a perfect time to bring him back to the Art Appreciation Moment of the Day.

Just a quick sketch on a 11″ x 17″ sheet of gray Canson paper that I did while scanning other work I was doing today. I was too lazy to cut down a piece for a portrait so I just started drawing. Considering the final result, I probably should have cut down the paper and drawn a portrait. :)

  1. She looks a wee bit daft for Emma but it’s a very cute drawing. The style and pose would look good for Megan from Excalibur or someone like that.

  2. That is sexy. I like how his curves aren’t severe but it’s the posture he uses that makes them pop. Very nice!
