When it comes to landing jobs in H’wood, marketing firms, or ad agencies, hopeful employees will often work on a spec-spot to show off their talents and their vision for the project.  Animator Daniel Kanemoto grabbed a bunch of images from the Walking Dead comic books, tossed it into an animation package and whipped up this little gem.

It’s a solid intro for sure, and the music is quite appropriate, but it kind of feels a bit like True Blood, which may cause some to pass on the idea. Walking Dead arrives on AMC on October 31, 2010.

I think it is just perfect, and it works so well.
Walking Dead can be depressing, but I think with a intro like this, the light will always be at the end of the tunnel.
