If you aren’t familiar with the Circle of Confusion production company, you will be when AMC’s The Walking Dead debuts in the fall, and is currently working on an adaptation of Powers for FX.  It’s now  been announced that the company will also take Image Comics’ popular Chew title and turn it into a television series as well.
Thanks to comiXology, I’ve had the pleasure of reading the entire series that features a police detective who gets psychic visions whenever he eats anything – ANYTHING!  Yes, that does include human victims of crimes.  There is no word on when we might see the show hit the airwaves, as no writer has been hired.

The Image Comics panel is Friday at 2:30 PM in Room 3.  John Layman is on the panel, so we may find out more then.

I love Chew and I wish them the best of luck with the tv adaptation. I think however it will be difficult to capture the quirky humor/tone of this book without the fantastic art work. I hope I am wrong!
