Warner Home Entertainment has announced that it will premiere Batman: Under the Red Hood at the San Diego Comic Con on Friday, July 23, 2010.

The eighth entry in the ongoing series of DC Universe Animated Original PG-13 Movies, BATMAN: UNDER THE RED HOOD finds the Dark Knight facing his ultimate challenge as the mysterious Red Hood takes Gotham City by firestorm. One part vigilante, one part criminal kingpin, Red Hood begins cleaning up Gotham with the efficiency of Batman, but without following the same ethical code. And when The Joker falls in the balance between the two forces of justice, hard truths are revealed and old wounds are reopened.

The rest of the world will have to wait until July 27, 2010 for the movie to arrive on DVD and Blu-Ray.  Me?  I’ve got my review copy sitting right here and will be watching it in a few minutes.

Does your review copy include the Jonah Hex short? I’m interested to hear what you think of both features. I think your assessment of the Spectre short was dead on with the last film.
