Okay, wow. Joey Q rips a hole right through my heart yet again. My god, this is a cover that causes me serious heart pain.
I feel for Mary Jane. It sucks she ever got with someone who was willing to destroy their whole relationship and past for the sake of a dying aunt.
Yeah. It’s like some unknown force turned her husband into a weak @$$hole all of a sudden. Wierd. ;p
At least while Peter was with MJ he wasn’t very well off but he was a formidable force and he got things done. Even if it put a strain on his marriage, it made him easier to relate when he had something other than his so called ‘Great Responsibility’ to think about. One More Day may have been conceived to show Peter as a person having problems of the Average Joe and making him easier to relate to. But in my opinion, they overdid it, giving him endless problems but no solutions. All they succeeded in doing was to paint him as a loser, living with his aunt, getting kicked in the balls by life and moaning and whining about his so called Parker luck without doing any thing about. Reed Richards said that Peter is smarter than Reed was at his age. But Peter can’t even be bothered to use that brain for anything other than superheroing. In the costume, he is the Amazing Spider-Man, without it he is an ineffectual loser, who can’t seem to do anything right.
Temporarily when Peter and MJ were separated, Peter told her, when he went to bring her back, that she made him feel that he could do anything and without her in his life nothing worked the way it should. Maybe that is the reason his life is such a mess right now.
