Fright Night is one of those films that came out right on the end of original interest in the horror genre, but it was one that made the most sense when trying to tell a modern day vampire story. DreamWorks is working on a remake staring David Tennant, Colin Farrell, and Christoper Mints=Plasse, which is a pretty good lineup of names if one is going to do a remake. DreamWorks has alos announced that Imogen Poots has been cast as Anton Ylchin’s girlfriend in the film.

I loved this movie. I actually went and found last month to watch for nostalgia purposes. My favorite part is when the vampire dude snatches the cross and says “you need FAITH for this to work.” Classic! I hope they get inventive with the remake….
One of my favorite vampire moves ever, and definitely in the tops of 80s vampire movies with Vamp and Lost Boys. Seems like that’s when vampires were still the “villain” of the vampire movies, and had some humor mixed in with the scary.
David Tennant, that inspires hope, but i really fear they will mess this up badly.
Another movie that doesn’t need a remake. I still like the original just fine. And speaking of original give me something ORIGINA0L, Hollywood!
