If you were wondering when the next installment of the Wolverine movie franchise was going to get underway, you may only have to wait 9 more months.  Showbiz 411 is reporting that the Hugh Jackman sequel is expected to begin filming in Japan in January 2011.

Based on a story cycle by Frank Miller and Chris Claremont, Wolverine’s adventures in martial arts will be a love story featuring a Japanese actress, I am told. “It’s a beautiful story,” says a source, “and will be very different than the first film.”

No word on director, and the site claims the script is different than most originally expected.  For those of you who have read the original Wolverine in Japan story, will that play out well on the screen?
