If you went to the comic book store yesterday, you may have missed the brand new IDW Publishing Star Trek mini-series that is based on the movie.  The company teamed with  J.J. Abrams, Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman to bring the aptly named Star Trek: The Official Movie Adaptation comic to stores.

The Star Trek: The Official Movie Adaptation offers yet another layer to this already complex and engaging new reality. “Everything about this movie was great, and when you have so much amazing material, not all of it can make the final cut,” said IDW Star Trek Editor Scott Dunbier.

IDW Publishing worked closely with Orci and Kurtzman with the previous Star Trek: Countdown writers Mike Johnson and Tim Jones to bring this adaptation to life.
