DC has announced that it will make all six issues of the upcoming Brightest Day series returnable, thus easing some of the fears retailers may have about purchasing a series most of us know nothing about. According to Rich Johnston, retailers will have to follow some rules.
Issue 0 must be ordered at the same or greater levels to Blackest Night #7. DC will charge 10% of the cover price to refund – around 20% of the wholesale price.
The company is also offering up a 1:50 variant cover to the first issue, but the rules also state that if the retailer sells all of the variant covers, they can’t return any of their extras. It makes a lot of sense to make offers like this to retailers, and hopefully it will be a win/win for all.
