Stuck in a dead-end job with a boss he can’t stand and a materialistic girlfriend, Sam rises from a late night of barhopping to discover his whole world has changed. Literally.
An avian flu outbreak has killed millions, the nation’s infrastructure has crashed and a dirty bomb has destroyed Seattle. Forced to go on the run, Sam awakes to a normal world the next day – and to chaos again the day after that. A single constant between the two worlds will undo all the damage, if he can find it – but that seems impossible. In one world, anything goes. In the other, he’s out of danger and sleepwalking through life. So Sam’s got an even bigger problem: Which world to choose?

I don’t like those Black Lantern Corps. HC covers… Just recycled Blackest Night covers with no ties to the minis they collect.

Wow how exciting that Zatanna is getting her own mag! I didn’t follow her until I read her in Hellblazer, which by coincidence (or IS it??) Hellblazer #1 is being re-released. She’s one of my favorite heroines.

The BATMAN #699 cover is genuinely creepy. I like what Tony Daniel’s been doing on that book.

Really excited for THE SPIRIT book, especially with Moritat handling the art. Hopefully he stays on after Mark Schultz leaves.

Also excited for the new ZATANNA and BIRDS OF PREY series. But what’s with the half naked stars of the book? Do we seriously have to strip women characters of their clothing before we put them in a comic book? One step forward in having strong female protagonists, two steps back for having them run around without pants with their boobs busting out. We should be past this nonsense.

I just realized I buy nearly everything Vertigo puts out. Looking forward to AMERICAN VAMPIRE.

@GL Corps #48: I have stayed current with this title…Is John Stewart only an ex- Marine in the DCU now? That was one of the only problem I had with the Justice League Unlimited cartoon; that John Stewart was depicted as B.A. Barracus/Mr. T with a power ring.

I’ve got nothing but respect for the real Marines. But it was just so darn …refreshing…back when John Stewart was written as an architect (a man of letters, a man with a highly intellectual vocation).

I hope that aspect is not being discarded completely, especially now in the age of Luke Cage and his babymomma being so prominent.

I guess I should just be grateful that Rhodey is no longer Tony Stark’s chauffeur.

He was an architect in Grant Morrison’s Final Crisis. And that series was pretty much also a “THIS IS CONTINUITY NOW” kinda event… So yeah I would say so.
GM was pretty much declared “Mr Continuity” by Dan Didio.

I am looking forward to the Birds of Prey comic line coming back out and I do second Josh’s emotion that not all female superheroes need to be popping out of their tights in order to fight crime. I used to always think that Jubilee was one of the few female heroes to have a modest sized chest until somewhere after M-Day and her being on the New Warriors she seemed to have jumped up 3 cup sizes. They don’t all have to be Power Girl, not that I don’t mind, specifically most of the DC females are usually drawn really attractively. I just don’t want the trend to flip flop to get women into comics, like Deadpool getting out of the ocean a la Daniel Craig in Bond with only his mask and a speedo on showing a set of abs or something. Anyways, does anyone else think that the JLA Classified: Classic line of figures are all sharing the exact same body mold? It looks that way to me, and I like the face/head sculpts especially The Atom’s subdued facial expression, but I would like to see at least some difference in body shapes.

You know you have something to say, say it in the comment section
