It sounds completely surreal when one hears that H’wood is making a movie based on the Stretch Armstrong toy from the 1970s, and it is even more weird when it’s reported that Taylor Lautner has been signed to play the stretchy lead. Universal also made the decision to push the release date from May 15, 2011 to sometime in 2012 so the company can turn the feature into a 3D flick, which pretty much follows the rest of the industry following the huge success of Avatar.
The story developed for the movie, being produced by Imagine and Hasbro, sees an uptight spy who stumbles across a stretching formula, which he takes and must now adjust to in everyday life and when fighting crime.
Also in the works are films based on Battleship, ViewMaster, and Candy Land.

I thought it was Max Steele???
Well, so much for hoping the idiots from “Twilight” would stick to that horrid franchise and leave the rest of us alone. Ah, well…
Not like I was high on a “Stretch Armstrong” movie to begin with, but adding THIS talentless goof as the lead sure sealed the deal on me never, ever seeing it.
Ever.
