The images for our Major Spoilers Poll of the Week this week come from Garrett Blair. Since I enjoyed his work on Kitty Pryde and Phantom Girl, I figured we’d feature one more comic book character – Zatanna.
Stephen Schleicher began his career writing for the Digital Media Online community of sites, including Digital Producer and Creative Mac covering all aspects of the digital content creation industry. He then moved on to consumer technology, and began the Coolness Roundup podcast. A writing fool, Stephen has freelanced for Sci-Fi Channel's Technology Blog, and Gizmodo. Still longing for the good ol' days, Stephen launched Major Spoilers in July 2006, because he is a glutton for punishment.

I wish she’d go back to this costume — it’s so much nicer than the stupid “magician’s assistant” costume she’s gone back to. If we have to put her in a tux, can we at least give her slacks instead of a French-cut leotard???
Great art, like the style, BUT (always a big but) out of the classic costume she looks like just another “cape”. The “tuxedo” sets her apart and helps contribute to her individual identity. Also remember, part of her civilian “identity”, probably abandoned and slightly anachronistic by now, is/was as a stage magician. I will agree, and I have always said, I dont think stiletto heels are practical for action and the costume has been a bit T&A at times, but the look is very much a part of this character.

Coll, but Zatanna isn’t Zatanna without fishnets… sorry…

Oops — of course I meant, “I wish the EDITORS would put her back in this costume….”
