Well here is something I didn’t expect to see for at least another six months – the Slave Leia animated maquette. Yup, it’s the tooned up version of the Star Wars heroine in her costumes that inspired many a fanboy fantasy. It’s from Gentle Giant, the same group that is making the other Star Wars animated statues
This version of Leia has been, by far, the most requested character in Gentle Giant’s Star Wars Animated series. Cast in high-quality polystone, this limited edition statue comes hand-numbered, accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
This is all well and good for the $85 statue, but it does come with an adult warning – not for the fantasies the statue might inspire, but the because of the pointy bits (the statues, not yours).

Wow thats no objectivation of women at all
It looks like a bad Lara Croft!
As for objectifying women, I remember a couple of years ago there was a Slave Leia with chain and hookah set marketed as the “Jabba Accessory pack”. Ouch!
On one hand, the warning is pathetic because I can’t see any kids clamoring for a statue. On the other hand, like everyone else has said, it’s typical objectification and not very well designed at that. So yeah, it’s crap.
I think it looks pretty sweet and I’d be happy to add it to the collection.
And who cares if it has a warning or not…
Also, remember its a TOY!! There are far worse things that objectifies women! Most pop & hip hop music, the overall culture that teens grow up in is something to be worried about…not a Leia maquette. Also I NEVER hear people complain when you see a hot 22 year old or Olivia Munn at a convention rocking the slave Leia costume!!
