Fans of the Seth Green and Matthew Senreich Robot Chicken series on Adult Swim will be pleased to know that Cartoon Network has ordered up 40 more episodes of the stop motion series.  This huge order will push Robot Chicken into a fifth and sixth season easily.

It’s kind of amazing,” Green said in an interview for Variety. “We never expected to do a second season, let alone a fifth and sixth. We’re really busy, but we’re still having a lot of fun making it.”

Chicken” takes on pop culture, frequently poking fun at TV and film franchises. The show even produced two “Star Wars”-themed specials, featuring voice talent from the features.

There’s no word on when the fifth season of the Emmy award nominated series will debut.
