The Hollywood Reporter has Adriana Barraza in negotiations to join the Kenneth Branagh helmed Thor movie. If cast, the Babel actress will play a human and will not be part of the Asgardian realm.
The movie centers on Thor (Chris Hemsworth), the god of thunder, a powerful but arrogant warrior whose reckless actions re-ignite an ancient war. As punishment, he is cast down to Earth and forced to live among the humans. Once there, he learns what it takes to be a hero when the most dangerous villain of his world sends dark forces of Asgard to invade.
Thor begins shooting next week in California, and is expected to arrive in theaters on May 6, 2010 2011.

“May 6 2001” that film must be pretty forgettable
Cool — maybe they’ll bring in some Aztec or Mayan mythology to make it more interesting: Asgard v. Aztlan????
Isn’t Marvel all about the Greek, Chinese, Norse and Japanese myth these days.

There wasn’t a better picture? Maybe one where her eyes were crossed?
