While Sony is busy trying to figure out what it is going to do with Spider-Man 4, Marvel took advantage of the open release date to slide Thor into the spot.

Sony said it wasn’t abandoning the date, a highly-coveted frame since it is the first weekend of summer. Studio said it is still hoping to complete the film in time.

Thor was to have opened May 20, 2011, but will now open May 6, 2011.
