The holidays are way to busy to keep track of more than one thing at a time, and this past holiday was probably one of the busiest I’ve been in a long time. That’s why I completely forgot to mention the most awesome package I received in the mail from Chris Flick, creator of the Capes and Babes web comic.
I really like envelope art, as it always amazes me that people take the time to decorate their packaging for something that is essentially a throw away medium. In this case, I think I’ll be keeping this package around for a while.
So what is in the package? You’ll have to tune in to the next Major Spoilers Podcast to find out!

hey guys,
I just wanted to drop you guys a quick line and thank you for posting that little bit of envelope art up there. Almost all of the time, I do those things while standing in line at the Post Office waiting for them to measure the package. This one was no exception. In fact, I think I had to do this one a little faster than usual as I got to the Post Office late and they were closing in 15 minutes.
So I apologize for the rushed look of the sketch. It’s just something I’ve actually been doing for a number of years. I look at it as sort of an extra “special” surprise for the recipient (as well as a little bribe to the Post Office workers – I usually put some sort of humorous message directed at them to not bend the package or something).
Anyway, Stephen, I’m glad you got a kick out of the envelope. Really looking forward to listening to your next podcast!
