Stephen Colbert may be having his own troubles with the Captain America shield hanging on his set, but the Captain America lover in your life will fall head over heals when he or she (but let’s be realistic and say he) opens this huge gift and finds Cap’s shield waiting inside.

Our version is hand hammered full steel, hand painted and accurately sized and dished to original blueprint specs. Only 750 will be made worldwide! Shield can be removed from plaque and has the proper genuine leather hand holds bolted to the back per Marvel blueprints. Includes full size “Army crate” wood display plaque and hand numbered certificate of authenticity. Shield cir. 30″. Wt -12 lbs.

Pay attention to that 750 number, because these will go fast, even with a $400 price tag.

This would be the geek gift of a lifetime. I would carry it with me to Wal-Mart and strap it on my back when I jog.

This item will complete my life.

Oh, how I wish. If I could, I’d buy one, then take it to a Con and get it signed by Brubaker, Lee, Waid, Buscema, Zeck…(other artists and creative teams) and when the movie comes out – the actors.

I would wear it to the mall and do that old Gruenwald move where Cap jumps off of something really high and uses his shield to land safely!

“Watch out, folks at the Cinnabon!”

Even the circumference and weight is authentic. We’re only an indestructible alloy away from perfection.

I bet if I had this shield Kitty and Illyana would notice me.

    *epic fail on reality check*
