UDON Entertainment announced via its blog that the Darkstalkers are coming back to comics in the Darkstalkers: The Night Warriors series.

The new series will pick up the continuing stories of slinky succubus Morrigan, demon hunter Donovan, vampire lord Demitri, and ancient evil Pyron as they all battle for control of the Earth and beyond. Fans can also expect appearances from new creepy crawlers like insect queen Q-Bee, slumbering mummy Anakaris, noble bigfoot Sasquatch, the robotic harbinger of doom Huitzil, and more!

The three-issue mini-series arrives in January, 2010.

  1. Dark stalkers was a cool game, but in later iterations it really seemed like they were reaching. I mean, which culture is it that has a half-sexy girl half-bee as a mythical monster?

  2. It’s about TIME!!!! I’ve been waiting for this comic to come back for litterally years!! The first 6/7 issues were awesome as hell. I’ve been playing Darkstalkers: Chaos Tower and watching the anime the last few days to get hyped up over this news. Now, here’s hoping they start up the story lines with Lilith and wrap up the one with Pyron. I would love to see Jedah and Marionette but they’re going to be hard to put in well.

    • Loved the game and comics (current Street Fighter comics level or art), hated the anime, Donovan as a giant? No thank you, loved Morrigan’s intro thou: “Accept from me, if you will, the kiss of DEATH!”
