Super Future Friends

In this issue: Doctor Ten heads for America, but will he have his TARDIS? Doctor Horrible heads for the hills, but is it really Doogie Howser? Doctor Regulus tries to kill the Legion, but they don’t die… THEY MULTIPLY! Plus: Rocky Marciano? Rocky Mariciano? Clark Kent was 257 years old when he fought Rocky Marciano… And: There’s women present, so Stephen and I have to clean up the house and wear pants during the show. THEN: Three kids come back in time to tell Christopher Reeve that the underwear goes INSIDE the pants, but it’s pretty clear that his resume may not be up to date. Either way, Rodrigo’s at volleyball, and Dante has finally stopped vomiting, so the world is a happier place…

I am SOOO saving up my money for an Adriana commission piece.

    I’m thinking a Lightning Lass/Shrinking Violet circa Volume 4 picture. :)

Who drew the Legion picture for this post?

The guy in the two-page spread that you didn’t know who it was is a character you probably know well but weren’t expecting to see here. It’s Captain Comet, who was a member of L.E.G.I.O.N. I don’t know why they felt it necessary to include L.E.G.I.O.N. members in that part of FC:L3W, but they did; you’ll find some others on those pages too.

The Barry Kitson Captain Comet suit! I KNEW I had seen that before. I didn’t even remember that he had that new suit, what with the revamp after Infinite Crisis…

The Legion… My first comic book love! Thanks for this episode.

Matthew, if I wanted to start reading Legion again, where do I start? I don’t even know which is the current title.

I should have to guess Adventure Comics #1 would be the best place, unless you wanted to get the Legion trade paperbacks from the Volume 3 series. If you do that, I’d recommend stopping with issue 35. :)

Fun episode, the Super Future Friends are very enthusiastic about their Legion! I, however, am more confused about the Legion than ever before…
