I like the Justice League cover. Nice.
The Titans cover is disturbing.
If everyone who was ever died after being with the Titans returned, the Black Lantern Corps would have a full membership right there.
1. BATMAN/DOC SAVAGE SPECIAL #1.
2. Haven’t bought S/B in years, but SCOTT KOLINS PRESENTS BIZARRO & MAN-BAT VS. BL GRUNDY has my vote because, unless there’s a secret BN: AMBUSH BUG VS. THE BL BLUE BOYS mini waiting, this is as goofy as it gets.
3. BATMAN/DOC SAVAGE SPECIAL #1.
4. At the other end of the spectrum… BL Danny Chase? Really? I get the others (though Pantha with a good head on her shoulders needs some ‘splainin’), but Danny? Chase? Really? I just dunno…
5. BATMAN/DOC SAVAGE SPECIAL #1.
6. I just want to reiterate my call of Charlie/Misfit as the new Batgirl. Does that cover shape look like any of the other candidates? It does not. No sir. Daaaark Vengeance!
7. BATMAN/DOC SAVAGE SPECIAL #1.
8. Batman. Blackhawk. Why is this arc being wasted on a dying BATMAN CONFIDENTIAL and not seeing publication in an oversized ish of B&B? Aargh. Buying it anyway.
9. BATMAN/DOC SAVAGE SPECIAL #1.
10. SECRET SIX #15. Written by John Ostrander. I may not be able to buy a five hundred dollar piece of original art to help the guy out, but this, I =can= do. C’mon. Do it for Floyd.
11. Did I mention BATMAN/DOC SAVAGE SPECIAL #1 yet?
The BL rings seem to reanimate people from their resting places and not their actual bodies, all the Green Lnaterns in the crypt were incenerated.
Wow, thought that was going to be all BN tie-ins for a minute there. Hell, I didn’t even realise that the new Doom Patrol or Superman/Batman were even in continuity.
Black Lantern Blue Beetle has the potential to be rather cool or make me a very angry bunny, so that’s something to look forward to.
Batgirl-wise, I see Vicki Vale, Oracle and Huntress getting name-checked so that probably rules them out. As an aside, I’m glad to see Huntress in action again, I was worried that Batwoman would effectively render her superfluous.
Misfit would definitely make a maximum contrast, fun Batgirl, plus she’s actually a girl which helps. It’s pretty much got to be Spoiler at this point now though, doesn’t it? Only nagging doubt is how it could take her four issues to get up to speed!
Is it just me, or is the Nekron revelation kind of flat? I mean, the Anti-Monitor is his bitch, and as much as I like “Blackest Night,” it’s no COIE…
Anyone?
I’m just glad to see Vigilante (ugh…) is stopping at issue 12. Biggest mistake I made in recent history was adding that weak Punisher rip-off to my pull list.
You had to see BL Blue Beetle coming a mile away. I’d rather see Johns write the story, though.
Commenting on Nekron, the DC panel reports from the SDCC reflected a strong need to keep the big bad from Blackest Night hush hush, especially Geoff Johns. I wonder how he feels about DC blowing his surprise in the solicitations.
im so glad superman prime is coming back.
Just started to pick up on a few DC titles again, TT, JLA etc but if they’re all having BN crossovers forget it
I’m not really compelled by the lesser characters and “loved ones” becoming Black Lanterns. But I dig Hippolyta, Kal-L, Martian Manhunter and Firestorm I as Black Lanterns. The nearly omnipotent heroes like that have more potential to be interesting bad guys in the hands of a good writer. I say “potential” because as a concept SupesPrime is interesting. But I am not a big fan, esp. with the anti-monitor getup.
– Anyone else hate Mon-El’s new costume? I am a big fan of his red nehru jacket costume.
– Looks like Misfit, but I can’t imagine a metahuman in the Bat Family.
– Anyone else hate Nightwing and Flamebird’s new costumes? I get that they harken back to the silver age version, but meh.
– Kara’s mom’s costume is the best new design I’ve seen in a while.
Why does Mon-El look like a girl and what the hell happened to his costume? O_O
I’m quite excited that Charlie jsut has a chance to be Batgirl!
Maybe like.. Steph and Her have a fight for the cowl? Battle for the Cowl (Girl Style)!
Dark Vengannnnncccceee! :D
