I like it. The proportions and use of foreshortening work well. Must be one heck of a breeze to get her hair to do that but, hey, artistic license.

Maybe I missed something somewhere but, why are we always see Red Sonja pieces? Are we comparing work by various artists on the same character or does someone just really like Red Sonja?

Red Sonja turned into the theme of the week.

    That’s cool.

Too bad more artists haven’t been motivated to draw Illyana.

Do you have, or are taking suggestions for, future themes?

Might as well suggest away Navarre.

    My suggestion: HERCULOIDS!

If it’s anyone but Spider-Man or Wolverine I will consider it a welcome change from the rest of the world.

Artists seem to like to draw females so you might find more variety there, as with Red Sonja. In that regard, a few that come to mind would be Supergirl, Wonder Woman, Wonder Girl, Storm, or Rogue.

Legion, Avengers, JLA, or Titans group shots could provide more possibilities for discussion. Tired of seeing the X-Men everywhere though even though I love them.

Someone, somewhere, has drawn lots of pictures of Rocket Raccoon and Squirrel-Girl. …erm, yeah…moving on…

If you want to put the slightest bit more effort into it, I would like to indeed see the Avengers but have maybe 2-3 days each of the major lineups as they have occurred. Not all of them, of course (ack!), but something representative of certain periods.

The original lineup, some of the 80’s roster, etc. … It would be nostalgic to see Cap, Shellhead, Goldilocks (aka Thor), Wasp, Vision, Wonder Man, and Scarlet Witch together again.

I like the look … but can’t help but feel that Alvin Lee drew this. The style is almost identical.
