Just got word from Kotobukiya that the company will be bringing master sculptor Mr. Junnosuke Abe to the San Diego Comic-Con to do live sculpting demonstrations.

Beginning on Thursday July 23, Abe-sensei will start with raw materials, and by the end of the show on Sunday, he will have the first draft of a brand new sculpture completed.  Fans will be able to see firsthand as Abe-sensei creates a work of art, and visit the Kotobukiya each day to see his progress.

Abe is the artist behind the ARTFX statues and sculptures of the AVP Warrior Alien, the Star Wars Zuckuss Bounty Hunter, and the Pirates of the Caribbean Captain Barbossa statues, and is the contributor to the Kotobukiya Marvel Comics Line of fine art busts.  You can check out the master at the Kotobukiya booth (#2601).
