As many of you may know, Major Spoilers has grown by leaps and bounds over the last year, to the point where our shared server can no longer keep up with demand.  The heavy load on the server is upsetting the hosting company, the other sites hosted on that server, and perhaps some of the Major Spoilers Legion, who are experiencing slow site loads, or no loads at all.

This has prompted us to move to a new dedicated server that should make the site faster, stronger, and more powerful, and help usher in a new year of Major Spoilers goodness. The move will take place in the evening of Friday, May 29, 2009, at which point you will see the site switch to standby mode.  My hope is everything will be back ot normal no later than Sunday evening, as the DNS filters through the Intardwebz.

The move doesn’t come without a price, however. The cost associated with running the site, the forums, and the podcast have trippled because of this move, so I’m really hoping you will take the time to visit our sponsors and advertisers, or even make an ongoing donation to the cause.

Share.

And what are we going to do tonight, Stephen?

The same thing we do every night, Gaumer…
