Because it can’t always be about hot girls and big boobs…sometimes it’s fun to see Batman and Superman kick each other’s asses.

Today’s image comes from Randy Green.

You’ve seen this one before. Superman getting clubbed down by the Righteous Dark Knight. I had to resist the urge to show Batman smashing Supes’ face in the ground. Hey! I love Superman, but he was a real D-bag in the comic this scene was from.

Oh yeah, this was done as a marker sketch at Megacon

I would love to have an entire sketchbook devoted to nothing but this scene from The Dark Knight Returns.

Head over to Randy’s Deviant Art Page for a super big version of the image.

I was thinking both figures look like Mark Bagley, but with a really good inker (Kesel, maybe Wiacek) cleaning things up a bit more than, say, a Thibert would.

I was thinking they both looked very Romita; particularly noticed in the curvature of Superman’s profile.

I was thinking how awesome a compromise would be (Boobs and a beatdown) Babs bringing the smackdown to Kara…Hey it doesn’t have to make sense.

On a serious note though this has a serious amount of energy and not even the cheap “oh i drew it in mid punch” kind which really allowed for a nice pose…Though i never get tired of seeing Clark getting his ass kicked by THE GODDAMN BATMAN.
