Variety is reporting that John Stevenson (Kung-Fu Panda) will take on the directorial duties for the new He-Man movie produced by Joel Silver. No word on a release date as the script gets polished, but it is clear Mattel wants this to be a successful motion picture to boost toy sales.

John Stevenson will direct the movie sounds cool but why polish the script it should stay as it is,
Justin Marks did a good job on it so Warner Bros will start production later on working on concepts and shit,The best choice for He-Man actor is Travis Fimmel he could pull of He-Man or even Jason Lewis but Fimmel is a good choice if he grows his hair long.
This He-Man film will be better than the 1987 Dolph Lundgren version.
